I am researcher, journalist and science communicator who feels most at home at the intersection of marine sciences and personal stories. With a background in academia, non-profit work and journalism, I strive to bring the ocean and its many wonders closer to everyone – so that we take better care of it. All my projects, whether in academia or as part of Onewater, blend scientific rigour and empathetic storytelling. I am immensely grateful to my family, friends, fellow volunteers, work colleagues and supervisors, to who I owe many successes and learnings over the past decade. Currently, I am focused on understanding the socio-ecological relationships within Marine Protected Areas as part of my Marie Sklodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship. Most of the time, I am based in-between the longest castle of the world, the river of stone, and the destination of many pilgrims.
